Benidorm Airport Transfers
As the sixth largest airport in Spain, Alicante International sees a large number of passengers through its halls each day. If you are heading to Benidorm, it is very likely that this is where you will fly to and getting to and from the airport to your accommodation is easy. Once you find your way through the airport, you will find that there are a number of transfer options including car hire, buses and taxis.
Navigating a large airport that you are unfamiliar with can be difficult at times, however, though the airport is large, all arrivals are filtered in one way. Once you have claimed your baggage you will exit through a central arrivals area and if you are being picked up by a relative or private transfers or chauffeur company, this is where they will find you.
If you have instead chosen to hire a car, you should proceed to the right where you will find most of the car hire desks. Most major brands are represented here and you will certainly be able to find a company you are familiar with. Auriga Crown Hire, Hertz, Goldcar, Europcar, Avis, Record Rent A Car, Sixt, National Atesa and Solmar Rent-A-Car all have desks here while some smaller companies are located in the parking lot itself.
Once you have arranged your car, or if you have decided to use one of the smaller local companies, you will head to the large parking garage which can be found opposite the terminal building itself. Within the parking structure there is a clearly signed hire car area which functions as both the pickup and drop off area so be sure to note where it is for your return.
If you would rather not hire a car, there are a number of public transport options available direct from the airport. There is a direct bus which takes one hour as well as a number of indirect routes which can take up to a couple hours. The fairs for these are subject to local changes but, in general, you will find a one way ticket under ten euros. You also have the option of organising a private shuttle which may cost significantly more.
Taxis are also available from the airport and these range in cost from 70 euro to around 90 euro but are a convenient way of travelling and you know you will be taken directly to your hotel. If there are a number of you in your party, often this is cost effective when the fee is split.
Getting to and from the airport is easy and there are a number of methods available to suit most people. Before you go, remember that many hotels offer transfers for free or a small charge so if you have booked your holiday through a second party such as a secrethotels.org remember to contact the property direct and enquire about any transfer services they may have available.
